Bradley County Farmers Market, 3110 Peerless Road, Cleveland TN 37312

Bradley County Master Gardeners (BCMG) will host a mini expo featuring:

  • A host of gardening topics to help you make the most of your yard and gardens

  • A “Gourd Patch” offering unique gifts for everyone on your shopping list

  • A children’s area with fun activities for kids aged 4-7.

And of course, attendees will have a chance to “ask a Master Gardener” about their own garden woes and wonders.

“Autumn is just around the corner,” said Anita Bailey, BCMG president. “And that’s a busy time in the garden. Summer harvest is winding down. Fall planting is starting up. And all kinds of lawn, landscape and garden maintenance helps get you ready for winter. A lot of that work really gives you head start on next Spring, too! Our Master Gardeners are eager to be a community resource for all those activities.”

Along with general gardening information, specific topics will include:

  • Composting,

  • Container gardening

  • Landscape plants.

  • Partnering with nature

  • Herbs

  • Stormwater issues

  • Flower arranging

  • Fall vegetable gardening

  • Native plants

  • Food preservation

  • Pollinators

The event is held in conjunction with the Bradley County Farmers’ Market that Saturday so attendees can walk away with lots of garden information as well as fresh produce!

Bradley County Master Gardeners are trained and certified volunteers who provide community service through their county extension office. They’re a growing group of people united by a love of digging in the dirt, growing their own food, landscaping their yards, learning from each other and sharing their individual and collective knowledge with others.
